Be Smart and Start Thinking About Christmas Shopping from Now
This might be a really unpopular post because I’m bringing it up so early, but the reality is that Xmas is not all that far away. Before you know it there will only be a few weeks left and the panic would have started. People will suddenly start to break out in a cold sweat and worry about what to buy everyone.
Last year I had plenty of time for Christmas shopping and it was brilliant. I did not have that last minute rush to the shopping centre and I could take a leisurely walk around the town with no hassle and no crowds. Unfortunately this year I am working full time, so I need to get myself totally organised.
I find that the very worst bit about Christmas is pinning down the family and discovering what they actually want for Christmas. I actually do not mind spending money if I know what I am buying, it just gets to me when you traipse round the shops, thinking would they like this, would they like that and still coming home with nothing.
This year I would like to try and do my bit for the environment and have decided to take a look at eco friendly christmas gifts. It is always good when you feel you are helping others, and what better time to do this than at Christmas?
There is such a vast choice of gifts available, and whilst looking I have also managed to source my table ware – now I can be sure that my dinner table is going to look fantastic come Christmas time.
My husband never knows what to buy me, so I have dropped a few hints about ethical vases. That way, he does not have any excuses not to buy me flowers throughout the year. Well occasionally you have to give them a push in the right direction.
Well I digress, I must return to my shopping lists and see what Great Aunt Gladys wants this year – it will no doubt be the same as every other year – pink fluffy slippers!
